“To all ROI colleagues and friends both within Ireland and Internationally, we are letting you know that Bill Denny has decided to hang up his clip board and put the PPE away for good! Bill retired from the Fire and Rescue Service some time ago and he has now decided it is now time to do the same with Rescue Organisation Ireland.
As Chair of Rescue Organisation Ireland, and a friend of Bill, I am no doubt speaking for all those that have come in contact with Bill over the years, from when we started way back in 2008, to say that Bill has been a great support who willingly took the time and effort to give his knowledge and experience to aid the newly founded ROI and bring it to the level we are at the moment in all aspects of the RTC and Trauma Challenge we have undertaken to date.
Bill represented ROI and the World Rescue Organisation on both national and international levels as assessor, adviser and willing mentor and for this we thank you Bill. We all in ROI from the Committee, Teams, Volunteers and Assessors wish you the best and always know that there is a good curry waiting for you in Ireland at any time with some refreshments to aid all that.
Chair of Rescue Organisation Ireland”
